We are thrilled to introduce our latest timepiece, the DRZ 02R Aerolite (R stands for reduced). Building upon the success of our iconic DRZ 02, this reimagined model combines a smaller form factor with a striking metal bracelet, resulting in a timepiece that exudes sophistication and versatility. The most outstanding feature of the case is its elliptical elevation, a design element that pays homage to the sleek lines of vintage Bugatti automobiles. This unique shape accentuates the watch’s edges with polished fillets, showcasing meticulous attention to detail. Furthermore, the countercurve at the transversal section generates intriguing shadow play, adding depth and dimension to the timepiece.
Join us on this horological journey as we unveil the DRZ 02R Aerolite, a tribute to the past, designed for the present, and destined to become a cherished heirloom of the future.

The DRZ 02R Black in the special edition Sandblast finish is my 5th Direnzo watch, following the DRZ-03, -04, -05, -06. I can unabashedly say I am a Direnzo watch design fanboy. Each successive Direnzo watch I get quickly becomes my new favorite watch, but I never stop loving the older models too.
The -02R black watch face, with the mint green details and red accents makes for a very striking & unique looking watch. The sandblasted metal finish, with only a few shiny details added for emphasis, also makes for a unique look that is pleasing to touch. The crown is comfortably rounded, but still easy to wind/set the watch. Also, I love the Direnzo accent touch of mint green color on the tip of the crown, to tie the style back into the watchface. Nicely done!
The steel band is again very high quality, robust & weighty, and integrates very nicely with the watch case. If I could level one criticism of the watch band is that the lever to disengage the pins from the watch lugs are a bit sharp and pointy, so they can be slightly uncomfortable while wearing. Not a deal breaker, as it is still one of the best steel bands around, but they should be looked at in more detail for the next round of watches.
