We are thrilled to introduce our latest timepiece, the DRZ 02R Aerolite (R stands for reduced). Building upon the success of our iconic DRZ 02, this reimagined model combines a smaller form factor with a striking metal bracelet, resulting in a timepiece that exudes sophistication and versatility. The most outstanding feature of the case is its elliptical elevation, a design element that pays homage to the sleek lines of vintage Bugatti automobiles. This unique shape accentuates the watch’s edges with polished fillets, showcasing meticulous attention to detail. Furthermore, the countercurve at the transversal section generates intriguing shadow play, adding depth and dimension to the timepiece.
For this new release, we will be offering the updated Version 2 of the Sellita SW200 Swiss movement, now featuring an extended 65-hour power reserve.

I was lucky enough to pick up one of the 40 pieces of the DRZ 02R LE Sandblast. After spending some real time with it on the wrist, it’s a genuinely great watch with a very distinct identity, even if it has a couple of minor quirks.
The standout feature here is undeniably the design architecture. Direnzo is known for the fluid, swooping lines of the standard 02R—heavily inspired by the fenders of vintage Bugatti automobiles. Taking that organic, curvy case and applying a completely matte, sandblasted finish is an interesting juxtaposition. It mutes the reflections and turns what is usually an elegant, retro-futuristic case into something much more industrial and monolithic. It feels like a piece of brutalist architecture on the wrist. A huge plus is the 800 HV scratch-resistant coating; sandblasted cases are usually scratch magnets, but this coating keeps the matte finish looking pristine.
The dial is where Sergio Di Renzo’s design language really shines. The outer chapter ring is deeply dished, creating a pronounced “bowl” effect that slopes down into the lower level of the sandwich dial. It provides an incredible amount of three-dimensional depth that you rarely see at this price point. Paired with the minimalist handset and the subtle mint green accent on the crown tip, it’s highly legible and visually fascinating.
Overall, it’s a brilliant execution of a very specific aesthetic. The 39mm case (with a compact 44mm lug-to-lug) wears beautifully, and the Sellita SW200-1 inside has been incredibly reliable. It’s not a one-watch collection, but as a unique, design-forward piece in a rotation, it’s an absolute winner.

Love the new sandblast Aerolite! The case finish on this watch is spectacular and really adds contrast to the stunning curves of the Aerolite. All the dial details are superb. The grey fumé dial is much better in person than can be captured in photos but it’s super cool how dynamic it is from light to dark grey depending on the lighting conditions. The accent colors are fun but not too loud and that makes the watch go with just about everything. The new movement is a nice addition as well. I highly recommend grabbing one before they are gone.
